Angel: PROJEKT 1065 by Alan Gratz is about a kid in 1943 named Michael O'Shaunessey and the son of the Irish ambassador. He moved from Ireland to Nazi Germany with his parents. Just like all the other kids, he went to a school which includes all the kids in the Hitler youth. Unlike the other kids, Michael and his parents are spies for the British secret service. Michael joins the Hitler youth and Hitler's horrific games and book burnings, for insider knowledge. When Michael learns about the Nazi's secret war mission PROJEKT 1065, a blueprint for a fighter jet that could change the course of the war, he is forced to learn more about the project. Now his and his parent's lives get more endangered. This affects the plot line because it causes Michael to gain more trust and to get deeper into the Hitler youth so he can steal the blueprints and save the allies. |
